The Vengaboys are a Dutch pop band based in Rotterdam comprised of DJs Wessel van Diepen (Danski) and Dennis van den Driesschen (Delmundo), and vocalists Roy, Denice, Kim and Robin.
Danski and Delmundo credit the formation of the band to them throwing impromptu beach parties from their worn out school bus while touring Ibiza and the Spanish coast between 1992 and 1997. Later adding the vocalists to 'spice up the DJ set', the Vengaboys’ first international hit Up & Down was released in March 1997 and quickly became a top five hit in Europe before making its way over to the US. Since then the band have enjoyed number one chart positions in over forty countries, with seven of their last nine singles reaching number one in the UK charts, and embarked on world tours.
