Vital Remains are a death metal band from Rhode Island. Formed in 1988 by guitarist Paul Flynn, their first line up included Paul Flynn on lead guitar, Butch Machado on rhythm guitar, vocalist Mike Flynn, bassist Tom Supkow and drummer Chris Dupont.
Vital Remains released six albums during their time together - 'Let Us Pray' in 1992, 'Into Cold Darkness' in 1995, 'Forever Underground' in 1997, and 2000's 'Dawn Of The Apocalypse'. In 2003, Glen Benton, vocalist/bassist of Deicide joined Vital Remains as a session vocalist for their fifth album 'Dechristianize'. They also put out 'Icons Of Evil' in 2007. Three of the band's former vocalists - Chris Ross, Scott Wiley and Jake Raymond - died between 2017 and 2018.
