Waxahatchee is an American indie music project from Brooklyn, New York by American singer-songwriter Katie Crutchfield. It also features Katherine Simonetti, Ashley Arnwine, and Allison Crutchfield.
Formed in 2011, as a side-project to P.S. Eliot, she released her debut album, ‘American Weekend’, in 2012, which was followed by ‘Cerulean Salt’, in 2013 and ‘Ivy Tripp’, in 2015. She released her latest album, ’Out in the Storm’, on July 14, 2017.
She has headlined her own shows and tours across the USA and Europe and has supported the likes of Tegan and Sara and The New Pornographers.
Waxahatchee played UK shows in September in support of ’Out in the Storm’, following a North American summer tour. She's now set to return to the US and Canada for shows in 2018, as well as a series of headlining UK shows in June, too.
