Wilko Johnson—real name John Peter Wilkinson—is a singer-songwriter and guitarist from Essex.

Starting his music career in 1970, he released four albums with Dr Feelgood before putting out his debut solo album 'Down By The Jetty' in 1975, followed by a further four records to date. In addition to this, he has also put out music under the monikers The Wilko Johnson Band, Solid Senders and a collaborative album with Roger Daltry.

After being diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer, Johnson took to the road to play some farewell gigs, but he was declared cancer free in 2014.
