Winter Mountain is an Irish/English folk and melodic rock duo that formed in 2008. Winter Mountain’s birth is an interesting story; it was created after Cornwall-born Joseph Francis and Donegal lad Martin Smyth - two aspiring singer-songwriters and musicians - met on the same Memphis-bound train in the US.
An almost fairytale meeting, the pair would spend the journey realising they shared the same interest and passion for music, and it became clear they would make a good team. Make a good team they did - Winter Mountain are now signed to Charcoal Records, with their self-titled debut record dropping back in August 2013.
