Wooden Shjips are an American psychedelic ‘space’ rock band hailing from San Francisco. Formed in 2006, the band are one of the country’s leading experimental exports, pioneering new sounds with each release they sling their fans’ way.
Consisting of Erik ‘Ripley’ Johnson, Dusty Jermier, Nash Whalen, and Omar Ahsanuddin, they’re signed to Thrill Jockey Records and have released five studio albums, including their self-titled debut, 'Dos', 'West', and ‘Back to Land’ which dropped in November 2013. In May 2018, Wooden Shjips released with their latest record, 'V'. They've been support the new record with US shows throughout the summer, and then headed to the UK and Ireland in September.
