Zeal & Ardor is a metal project fronted by founder Manuel Gagneux: a musician from Basel, Switzerland.
Formed in 2014, the project is known for it's avant-garde sound, influenced by messages left in response to Gagneux on the message board 4chan. It combines elements of black metal with African-American spiritual/Christian music, and other experimental styles. It expanded to include a full band in 2016. They have released three albums to date, with the most recent being a self-titled serving in 2022. Zeal & Ardor will tour the UK in November 2022.
