Porches Announces Sixth Studio Album 'Shirt' With New Single Joker

Aaron Maine has laid out plans for a new Porches album.  

The New York recording artist's sixth studio record is titled 'Shirt' and will arrive on September 13 via Domino.

The follow-up to Maine's 2021 LP 'All Day Gentle Hold !' and its 2020 predecessor 'Ricky Music' is described as a rock album that deals in both fantasy and truth, touching on the innocence of youth and the harsh realities of adulthood.

Having teased the new project in April with the single Rag, Maine has dropped another preview in the form of Joker, which is built around a steady acoustic guitar pattern that gently drives the folky song along. Check out its accompanying Nick Harwood-directed video below.

Alongside the news, the musician has scheduled a North American tour for the fall. Tickets go on general sale at 10am local time on Friday (May 17). Head here for details.

The new run of dates will follow his previously announced UK and European trek between September 18 and October 2. Tickets for those dates are already on sale.
