Miranda Lambert Releases New Single Wranglers

Miranda Lambert has released a new single.

Wranglers is the first track to be shared by the Grammy-winner since inking her new deal with Republic Records. Introducing it, she said:

“‘Wranglers’ is a classic tale of a woman taking her power back. I think we can all identify with the character in this song, because we have all had a time in our life where we needed to find our strength, and also get a little revenge on someone who did us wrong or hurt us. This offers such a cool, raging take on how something like this unravels; I think the songwriters nailed it.”

The country song was penned by Audra Mae, who also contributes vocals to it, as well as Evan McKeever and Ryan Carpenter. Production was handled by fellow Grammy-winner Jon Randall, who also helped Lambert put together a band at Arlyne Recording Studios in Austin, Texas. 

Players on the track include guitarists Jedd Hughes and Ethan Ballinger, Bukka Allen on B-3 organ, Rachel Loy on bass and drummer Conrad Choucroun.

“I am so proud to sing this song,” Lambert continued. “It feels like it could have been on the same record as ‘Gunpowder & Lead’ in a lot of ways. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned is a pretty powerful statement, and the way it’s written, you can tell, we’re not kidding.”

Lambert, whose latest album is 2022's 'Palomino', will hit the road for her summer North American tour later in May. It will feature headline festival appearances, including Under the Big Sky in Whitefish, Montana on July 13.
