With 10 fantastic fields of Bestival’s own inimitable magical mayhem and 20 stages of the best music around, including headline sets from Stevie Wonder and New Order, exclusive performances from The xx and Sigur Rós and hundreds of amazing live bands and DJs, the Robin Hill shindig is already shaping up to be pretty darn incredible. And now organisers have some ace news of two brilliant new additions to this year’s bill to keep your appetites well and truly whetted.
Bestival have told you about their amazing headliners, Stevie Wonder and New Order, they've told you about exclusives from The xx and Sigur Rós and we’ve told you all about the off-piste madness from the Swamp Shack and Wishing Tree to the Ambient Forest and Roller Disco, our Wildlife theme and everything in between. But we still haven’t finished yet because now it’s time to tell you about even more beautiful music for you to luxuriate in at Robin Hill Country Park this September 6th-9th.
Organisers are having a wild time down at Bestival HQ planning a long weekend of ferocious fun for this September at Robin Hill Country Park. They've already lined-up amazing treats, from their Saturday night headliners New Order and exclusive performances from The xx and Sigur Rós, to their brand new Amphitheatre performance space in the woods and Arcadia’s Mechanical Cabaret, not forgetting the Wildlife theme, a whole heap of gleaming new stuff and old favourite haunts galore, so it’s with great pleasure that organisers can give you news of lots more lovely musical acts joining the bill and some ingenious ways to travel to the party.
Following Bestival's first line-up announcement, which included Sigur Rós, The xx, Two Door Cinema Club, Justice, Hot Chip, 2manydjs, Annie Mac Presents and loads more, plus the acts that have been announced on Twitter in the last week, organisers can today let you know just who the Saturday night headliner is and they've got even more tasty treats to boot.
Bestival organisers have already announced 12 brand new things that will tickle your fancy, the Wildlife theme, the mighty Orbital as the closing act for the Big Top and Rob da Bank tweeted a few choice tasters but now the time has come to unveil an array of acts that will be coming to Robin Hill Country Park to rock Bestival 2012. With a pair of electrifying exclusives and a cavalcade of incredible bands and DJs, organisers really want it to be September already and they still havent announced any of the main stage headliners. You’re going to have to wait at least a week for the first of those.
