Beady Eye Already Working On Second Album

Liam Gallagher’s relatively new Beady Eye have enjoyed decent success with their debut album ‘Different Gear, Still Speeding’, which was released earlier this year – but Gallagher has revealed that they are already beginning work on a second LP.

Different Gear Still Speeding managed to reach #3 in the UK and in Ireland, and led the band to a tour of personal shows across the country. But with Gallagher not being one to mess around, it looks like there will be no room for rest for the band, with the writing process for a new album already in the works.

Frontman Gallagher, speaking to MTV news, said: “We've started and it's sounding good – we're not messing about. We'll have bits of time off but we won't be sitting around watching Jeremy Kyle, we'll be in the studio.”

Although he’s hoping to have the album written as soon as possible, it looks likely that the band will be recording in the winter months of 2012, with a realistic release looking likely for the summer.

Gallagher continued: “We've been in the studio messing around with a few tunes, We're going to finish the tour about Christmas time, then about February go in the studio and hopefully have it out by summer.

“We're not going to rush it, but we're not going to fuck about either. We've got the songs, we're ready to go.”

Beady Eye currently have a small number of UK shows left, before hitting the road into Europe and the US. See below for Beady Eye dates and ticket information.

Beady Eye UK & Ireland Tour Dates are as follows:

Tue July 12th 2011 - Somerset House Exhibitions, London
