Alice Gold To Play London's Lexington This Week & Tickets

Alice Gold's new single, ‘End of the World’, will be released on 29th August.

Supported only by the percussive strike of the hi-hat and mellifluous guitar, as ‘End Of The World’ quickly gathers momentum, vivid imagery floods the lyrical vista (“I threw myself into the lion’s pit”) and the delirious rush of that big pop chorus sends shivers up your spine. The track’s grief-stricken content is almost at odds with its sound, as uplifting sonics prevail amidst the aching melancholia.

Alice has been whipping up quite the frenzy with her acclaimed debut album ‘Seven Rainbows’. Written by Alice and produced by the infamous Dan Carey (Franz Ferdinand, Kylie, Hot Chip, Lily Allen), the album is awash with influences – everyone from Janis Joplin to Jefferson Airplane – and pinned down by an overriding sense of hope.

'Seven Rainbows' is out now on Fiction.
