Chris Brown Denies Claims That He Used "I Won't Beat You" As A Chat-Up Line

22 year-old hip-hop and R&B star Chris Brown has furiously denied claims that he used ‘I won’t beat you’ as a chat-up line, describing them as ‘absurd’ and ‘absolutely not true’.
The rapper and singer has become involved in fresh controversy following the 2009 assault of his then-girlfriend Rihanna, which he pleaded guilty too, with many criticising his request to end his probation for the crime. He was also berated after getting his own platform at the Grammy award ceremony last Sunday, as it was on night of the 2009 Grammy awards that the original assault took place.
Now it’s been claimed that Brown has been referencing the incident as an attempt to pull girls – with a source telling US Weekly that he’d said to a woman: “Can I get your number? I promise I won't beat you.”
But Brown has now responded to the statements, telling TMZ: “That is absurd and absolutely not true. I did not say that nor would I joke about that.”
In other Chris Brown news, the star was recently subject of a (sort of) death hoax via social networking site Twitter, which saw ‘RIP Chris Brown’ trending around the world.
One user wrote: “Trending things like 'RIP Chris Brown' is not even funny. There are people dying every day for real and your making jokes about it,” while another tweeted: “RIP Chris Brown is trending...did Rihanna finally get her revenge?!! #gogirl #girlpower”
