Madonna Disgusted At Karl Lagerfeld's 'Horrible' Adele Weight Comments

American superstar Madonna has hit out at controversial fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld’s comments about Adele, which saw him describe the Tottenham-born soul singer as ‘a little too fat’.
Lagerfeld said in an interview with Metro New York last February that although he thought Adele had a ‘divine voice’, he thought that she was also a ‘little too fat’ – a comment which landed him in controversy and saw him heavily criticised across the internet.
Now, Madonna has become the latest star to condemn the Chanel fashion house head, describing the comments as ‘horrible’ and ‘ridiculous’ – adding that she thinks Adele is a ‘great talent’.
“That's horrible,” the signer told The Sun. “That's ridiculous, that's just the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. I don't like it when anybody says anything bad about anyone – I don't like it. Adele's a great talent and how much she weighs has nothing to do with it.
“The thing for Adele to remember is at the end of the day, whether you rise or fall, it has so much to do with how you sustain yourself and keep your integrity and your inner strength. It is all about who you surround yourself with – friends and people who really do care about you, and care about your well-being beyond being a superstar. That's the most important thing.”
Madonna will perform in London’s Hyde Park this July, as well as putting on shows in Edinburgh and Dublin. If you need tickets, check the dates and details below.
