Dr Dre Admits 'Everybody Is In Love' With Tupac Hologram - And Calls For More Holograms In Future

Rap legend Dr Dre has heightened speculation about hologram Tupac and whether he’ll be taken on tour, and has also paved the way for other deceased celebrities to be brought back to life via holographic performance.

Snoop and Dre made hip-hop history by performing alongside Tupac Shakur, who has been dead since he was fatally shot in 1996, at California’s Coachella Festival, and are now considering a tour alongside the star. Musion, the company behind the hologram, have also suggested that the brand new live show be taken on a trip across the world – meaning a potential tour looks like a lot more plausible.

Now, Dr Dre has fuelled the rumours even further by admitting that the whole world is ‘in love’ with their innovative, never-before seen creation – and has even called for other deceased celebrities like Jimi Hendrix and Marvin Gaye to be given the hologram treatment.

Speaking to MTV News, Dre said: “I think everybody's in love with it right now, so we're having fun. Hopefully, different artists are able to bring out their favourite artists. Hopefully, we can see Jimi Hendrix and Marvin Gaye. Let's see what happens.”

He went on to talk about their ideas for the hologram and how they can make it even better than it already is.

“I'm not sure right now, [but there's] a technology that's happening where the hologram could be 360 degrees. Right now it's flat, it just looks like it's three-dimensional from the front, but I'm working on some new and different things for the future.”
