Scott Weiland Officially Back With Velvet Revolver?

Former Velvet Revolver frontman Scott Weiland has reportedly rejoined the band following their one-off reunion show earlier in the year and confirmed the news to ABC Radio – but guitar god Slash doesn’t seem to think this is the case at all, saying that the band have ‘no intention of moving backwards’.

Weiland and the rest of the band have been known to have a rather rocky relationship and their arguments and disagreements is what led to Weiland leaving the band originally. But, four years after the split, they’d managed to stay on good terms long enough to schedule a one-off reunion show alongside the vocalist – and it seems it went so well that Weiland will be making his way back to the band.

He told ABC News Radio: “We’ve all grown a lot. We’re able to put egos and differences and old…conflicts aside and so that’s really cool. Slash’s solo album gets released [on May 22] and so he’s gonna do some touring on that and then we’re gonna go and do some [Velvet Revolver] shows in the later part of summer into early fall.”

But, while Weiland seems pretty adamant that he’s re-joining the group, Slash is pretty adamant that he’s not – and denied that he would return to a Minneapolis radio station.

He told the station: “I have absolutely no intention of going back to that... I'm on tour all year. I'll call Duff, but I seriously doubt [there is any truth to Weiland's comments]. We have no intention of going backwards.”

It seems not a soul in the world truly knows what is happening with the band right now, so we’ll have to wait and see what happens. Stay with Stereoboard to stay up-to-date on the story.
