Holy Esque Confirmed To Support The Raveonettes On UK Tour

Holy Esque will follow-up their critically acclaimed debut self-titled EP with a free download of single 'Tear' on August 7th. In addition, they have also just been confirmed as special guests on this year's Raveonettes November and December tour of UK and Europe, chosen personally by Sune Rose Wagner!
Holy Esque, formed just over a year ago, comprising four 19/20 year-old young men have been keeping a discreet profile. However their lack of banter shouldn’t be misconstrued as an attempt to appear ‘mysterious’ — “We just want folk to focus on the music. The rest of it... who gives a fuck?”, said lead singer Pat Hynes in a recent interview.
Holy Esque independently released their self-titled EP this June, recorded at a DIY built studio with producer Kevin Burleigh (Glasvegas, Simple Minds). In support of the EP, Holy Esque recently played gigs with the likes of WU LYF and Spector and were a featured artist at Tallinn Music Week 2012.
The band have also gained significant radio support, topping the Amazing Radio chart two weeks consecutively as well as appearing on BBC 6 Music, BBC Radio 1 Introducing and BBC Radio Scotland shows.
When they aren’t making music, the Glasgow School of Art students are busy maintaining the aesthetic of the band; designing their own artwork, printing posters or curating a Tumblr blog of photos that could put Instagram users to shame. The name and symbol representing Holy Esque doesn’t necessarily represent a religious ideal, rather a concept open for interpretation—something for the band to believe in and fans to put faith in.
