The Omar Rodriguez Lopez Group - a.k.a the main side-project of At the Drive-In and Mars Volta star Omar Rodriguez Lopez - have announced an autumn UK tour.
The four-date excursion will take them to Brighton’s Haunt, Nottingham’s Rock City, and Leeds’ Cockpit late on in September, before the group round the tour off with a gig in London’s Garage on October 3rd. Tickets for the gigs are on sale now, and you can find yours through Stereoboard - they’ll cost you £10.00 + fees (£13.50 + fees in London).
Known for his and his band’s intense performances across the globe, the Omar Rodriguez Lopez Group is more of an outlet for Omar to perform tracks from his solo catalogue as well as with his bands At the Drive-In and the Mars Volta. So, that means any live performance from the group - which consists of his Mars Volta bandmates Juan Alderete, Marcel Rodriguez-Lopez and Adrián Terrazas-González as well as Beastie Boys collaborator Money Mike - is a stupidly heavy, jaw-droppingly incredible sight, and not something to be missed if you’re a fan of your hardcore.
