Charli XCX is a British synth pop singer-songwriter from Cambridge, best known for tracks such as I Love It, Boom Clap and Fancy, with Iggy Azalea.
Starting her music career in 2008, she released her debut album, ‘True Romance’, in 2013, but it wasn’t until she featured on Icona Pop's I Love It and Iggy Azalea's Fancy, which she also co-wrote, that she started to gain notoriety. She released her second album, ‘Sucker’, in 2014, which featured the hit single, Boom Clap, which also appeared on the soundtrack album for ‘The Fault in Our Stars’. She releases the mixtape ‘Number 1 Angel’, in March 2017, and later in the year 'Pop 2' with A G Cook.
She has headlined her own shows and tours across the UK and USA, including a co-headline tour with Bleachers, and supported the likes of The Ting Tings, Ellie Goulding, Marina and the Diamonds, Paramore, Santigold, Katy Perry and Coldplay. In April 2018 Charli played and curated Annie Mac's AMP Collected at London’s Jazz Cafe.
