Simply Red have announced shows across Europe and the UK next year for their Summer Funk '27 Tour.
Led by Mick Hucknall, the Manchester soul and pop band will first head across the continent for performances in Portugal, the Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Croatia, running from June 16 to July 30.
They'll then return to the UK in August for a run of majour outdoor UK shows, including Chester Racecourse, Halifax's Live at the Piece Hall series, London's Gunndersbury Park, Margate's Dreamland, Scarborough's Open Air Theatre, Colchester Castle Summer Series, Swansea's inaugural Singleton Live series, Newmarket Racecourse for the Jockey Club Nights series and Taunton's Cooper Associates County Ground for the first Somerset Sounds festival.
The band will be joined by special guests Heather Small, Soul II Soul and Lisa Stansfield across select UK dates, with tickets for the shows going on general sale at 10am local time on September 24.
Simply Red released their latest studio album of original songs, 'Time', through Warner Music in 2023, which was followed by 'Recollections', featuring new recordings of previously released songs, in commemoration of the bands 40th anniversary, last year. This June, they put out the live album 'Holding Back the Years: 40 Years of Simply Red, Live in Santiago'.
