Rita Ora - ORA (Album Review)

It’s hard to believe that Rita Ora is only just releasing her debut album as it seems like her music has been around for what seems like forever. Signed to Jay Z’s record label Roc Nation, Rita’s album was sure to be electric and full of exceptional lyrics and infectious beats, as well as her recent three singles.

Image'ORA' is the long awaited debut album from Rita and was released earlier this week on Monday 27th August 2012. Ever since bursting onto the music scene she has been labelled as the British Rhianna, however this debut album blows that compassion out of the water and confirms that Rita is indeed an outstanding artist in her own right.

Opening track to the album is ‘Facemelt’ and straight away livens things up with its in your face beats. ‘Roc The Life’ is possibly one of the best tracks on the album apart from the recent Number 1 hit ‘How We Do (Party)’. ‘Roc The Life’ has a rock guitar feel to the track and full of infectious lyrics.

‘How We Do (Party)’ and ‘R.I.P’ need no introduction as both tracks have been hugely successful for Rita, giving her a second and third consecutive Number 1. ‘Radioactive’ is rumoured to be Rita’s new single but this is yet to be confirmed. This track has the David Guetta feel to it and will no doubt make a huge impression on the charts if it is released.

Rita shows her vulnerable side in the smooth ballads of ‘Hello, Hi, Goodbye’, ‘Been Lyin’ and ‘Love And War’ which features J Cole on the track.

All in all Rita Ora has dropped an amazing debut album which to me seems to get better the more you listen to it. Everything Rita touches seems to hit the top of the charts right now and this album will no doubt hit the Number 1 spot.

'ORA' tracklisting is as follows:

1.Facemelt
2.Roc The Life
3.How We Do (Party)
4.R.I.P Featuring Tinie Tempah
5.Radioactive
6.Shine Ya Light
