GUN have announced they will release second single 'No Subsitute/Lost & Found' from their new album 'Break The Silence' on September 17th, 2012.
After a 14-year break, Scottish rockers GUN surprised us as one of the rock and roll comebacks of the year. Following the Radio 2 playlisted debut single 'Break The Silence' from the self titled album (check out Stereoboard's review here), GUN return with a new double A-side single 'No Substitute/Lost & Found'.
The lyrics to 'No Substitute' came about after singer Dante Gizzi had a real encounter early one morning in Glasgow, of a naked girl running down the street where he lives. No-one knows who she was and no-one knows what happened to her. This led to Dante writing the lyrics and finishing the song. 'No Substitute' was one of the last tracks written for the album 'Break The Silence' which is produced by Dave Eringa, the mastermind behind artists such as The Manic Street Preachers and Idlewild.
Fresh from a show-stopping performance at Download Festival 2012, GUN are set to tour Europe with The Cult. The band have also just announced further UK gigs.
