Smashing Pumpkins' Billy Corgan To Release Candid Yet 'Spiritual' Autobiography

Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan has revealed that he’ll be writing a brand new autobiography, and, although describing it as a ‘spiritual memoir’ - it’ll still be full of sex, drugs, and rock and roll.

Corgan has enjoyed over 20 years with the Smashing Pumpkins and clearly has many a story to recount, and is currently penning an autobiography to detail the years of super-selling albums, huge world tours, and an incredible career in music. But, although he’s described it as a ‘spiritual memoir’ and not a regular rock autobiography, he promised ‘plenty of sex and drugs and rock ‘n’ roll.’

He also went on to tell Billboard about some new material the band will be working on in the near future, saying: “I've already started writing songs for a new album and definitely seems like it's going to be more of a rockin' affair. [A December 2013 release is] really ambitious, because we're still touring, and I've never been successful writing on tour. I don't even try. So even if we went into the studio in November when we come off of this tour, it's still pretty ambitious to have it out by then.”

Smashing Pumpkins put out their last record ‘Oceania’ in June earlier this year - you can check out ‘The Celestial’ below.
