The Big Moon have released a new single, Fun.
The shimmering, synthy indie-pop track looks at treating joy and happiness with the same importance as the harder parts of life. The band's songwriter Juliette Jackson said:
"I think there’s this idea that for art to be deep it has to be SERIOUS and DARK, but joy and humour is just as integral to being a human being, and just as authentic and meaningful as the dark, painful stuff. Pop music forever."
The song follows the lead single Gravity in previewing the London quartet's fourth album, 'Forever', due out on October 30 via Fiction Records.
Fresh from dates opening for Alanis Morissette around the UK, The Big Moon will support Public Service Broadcasting at the Live at The Piece Hall series in Halifax next month. Following that, they'll support the record with their Forever Tour of the UK in November. Tickets are on sale now.
