The Pineapple Thief Announce New Album 'Far And Wide' With New Single New World Order

The Pineapple Thief will release a new album this autumn.
'Far and Wide' is set to arrive on October 9 via InsideOutMusic and finds the British progressive art-rockers using their signature dreamy sound to create more powerful hard-hitting songs.
"We realised, for instance, that you don't need more than two guitar parts at any one time,” frontman and founder Bruce Soord explained. "You know, ’why have we got four or five guitars? Why have we got six-part harmonies when there's only three of us singing?’ We deliberately created those constraints, because we thought, ‘we're a rock band, there's five of us on stage, this is what we should be about in the studio.’"
"You do start to imagine what a song would look like on a stage, and sometimes that does influence the arrangement,” drummer Gavin Harrison added. "Like, ‘this would be amazing live when we do this, if this section just went into this other thing’, and you can picture it with the lights and the atmosphere on stage."
To celebrate the news, the band, completed by bassist Jon Sykes and keyboardist Steve Kitch, have shared the new single New World Order, which shows off their atmospheric prog-rock sound combined with a more intense, heavier edge, shifting between delicate, introspective passages and explosive moments. The follow-up to 2024's 'It Leads To This' will also include the band's previous single, Hold the Ashes, released back in June ahead of select shows across Europe. Next up, the four-piece will support the new record with the Far and Wide Tour across North America in November and December. Tickets are on sale now.
