Radiohead To Work On New Album At The End Of Summer

Alternative rockers Radiohead have revealed that they’ll be getting back to business at the end of the summer - to begin work on a brand new record.

The band put out their eighth album ‘The King of Limbs’ in 2011, and have been touring the record for the past year. Now, following a quieter couple of months, guitarist Colin Greenwood has revealed that work on their ninth album will kick off later this year.

“We're taking some time out whilst people are doing some other stuff, doing their own things,” Greenwood told BBC 6 Music. “And the plan is to get back together again [at the] end of the summer.”

Any official details of the record haven’t yet surfaced as it’s pretty early days, but at least now you Radiohead fans have something to look forward to. The band are rumoured to be lining up some UK and European gigs for later this year, but once again, it looks like you’ll have to wait until after summer as - quote Thom Yorke - the band won’t have their ‘shit together’ by then.
