Surprise, surprise! San Diego grunge-rockers, The Stone Temple Pilots have booted out frontman Scott Weiland once again.
STP and Scott Weiland have always had a rocky relationship. The band has been forced to fire the singer twice already, once in 1997 and then again in 2002. This morning, history repeated itself once again with the release of a simple statement by the band. No other information was provided.
“Stone Temple Pilots have announced they have officially terminated Scott Weiland.”
The news follows Weiland's recent admission to Rolling Stone that, “No one has ever fired anybody in STP. We’re like a family.”
The Stone Temple Pilots' latest album is their 2010 self-titled release.
