Fans who missed out on seeing The Rolling Stones at the end of last year will be pleased to learn that the veteran rockers WILL return for shows at London's Hyde Park this summer! In addition, it looks as though you can count on a Stones headline performance at this year's Glastonbury too!
We've all been told to never believe what we see and read on the internet, however, Stereoboard really do back this claim. Showbiz411.com claim that Mick, Keith, Ronnie and Charlie will return to London in July for TWO shows at Hyde Park. The website claims that "likely dates are July 6th and July 13th. (I guess it will take one week to clean up between shows.)" AEG Live are the promoters behind the London shows.
As for this year's Glastonbury, the rumours are true. Glastonbury runs from June 26th to 30th this year, we're just waiting for the all-important announcement from Mr Eavis and co.
In addition to the UK shows, The Stones are also set to announce an major tour of US arenas any moment now. Showbiz411.com claim "The tour is supposed to start on the West Coast, maybe in Vancouver." The promotion behind these new shows will come from Australian Paul Dainty and Richard Branson's new venture Virgin Live.
Now our thoughts turn to who will be guesting on these shows. Expect some big names and even bigger ticket prices.
Check back to Stereoboard for further details within the next few weeks!
