Girls Aloud star Sarah Harding was arrested last Thursday, according to reports online - after using her phone whilst driving and then failing to stop for police!
Harding may become ‘Girl Banned’ rather than allowed after the incident, which was reported by The Daily Mirror, and is said to be facing two charges. The paper claims she was flagged down by police whilst driving down Charing Cross Road in London last week, after they spotted her driving whilst using her mobile phone. After initially failing to stop for police, she eventually decided to pull over - which is when she was arrested and taken to Holborn police station.
“Sarah was driving in a 4x4 when a policeman on a bicycle saw her and tried to make her stop,” the paper’s source told them. “He was trying to flag her down but she carried on a bit down the road where she was pulled over a couple of minutes later. Apparently Sarah was very upset when she was arrested and charged. The offences are pretty serious.”
Harding could potentially face fines of up to £6000 (£1000 for driving whilst using the phone, and £5000 for failing to stop), and may even lose her license, though nothing is known of her punishment yet. You’ll have to stick with Stereoboard for more updates on the story.
