Hevy Fest Cancelled After Venue Switch

Friday, 19 July 2013 Written by Huw Baines

Organisers have confirmed the cancellation of this year's Hevy Fest, which had been slated to take place at Brixton Academy on August 4 with Killswitch Engage as headliners.

The event had already been scaled back from a weekend camping festival - due to a "well-hidden licensing condition" - and has now been pulled altogether following issues with the venue switch.

The festival's organisers announced the news via Facebook:

"It is with heavy hearts that we announce the cancellation of this year's festival.

"Despite our best efforts to continue without the camping set-up, the change of venue has been more problematic than anticipated. It is time to draw a line under 2013, and look to the future to make sure next year's festival is everything Hevy should be.

"This has been a turbulent year for us, and we are very sorry to have let our audience down. Ticket holders will receive a refund from their ticket agents."

Horse The Band are still set to play London's Borderline on Saturday 3 August. Click Here To Compare And Buy Horse The Band Tickets from Stereoboard.
