Manchester rockers Beady Eye have cancelled two gigs in Belgium and Japan, after guitarist Gem Archer suffered an injury.
Liam Gallagher and Co. had two international festival appearances lined up - the Lokerse Festival in Belgium, and Tokyo’s Summer Sonic - for this month, but have now pulled out after Archer suffered an unspecified injury.
Breaking the news via a statement from their management, the band said:
“Due to guitarist Gem Archer's injury, the band regret to inform fans that they will be cancelling their upcoming shows in Belgium and Japan until further notice. They are very sorry for any disappointment this will cause but as Gem is an integral part of the band there is no way that they can play without him. An update on Gem's condition will follow.”
His bandmate Andy Bell offered support via Twitter, writing:
Wanna wish my brother @gemarcherbe a speedy recovery X
The band are still believed to be performing at V Festival later this month, alongside headliners Beyonce and Kings of Leon. If you want tickets for V Festival, check the link below - and for updates on Archer’s injury, stay with Stereoboard.
