Members of Supergrass, The Smiths, Suede & Roxy Music Create New Supergroup

Rock fans, it's time to forget about Spinal Tap, as a new half-fictional band is about to take the world (or at least UK TV) by storm, and it features stars from the Smiths. Roxy Music, Suede, and Supergrass.
Fronted by the one and only Gaz Coombes,Chaz Chance and The Prophets are a new band put together for a TV series that’ll be hitting your screens in the near future.
Also featuring Suede bassist Mat Osmon, Roxy Music guitarist Phil Manzanera, and the Smiths' drummer Mike Joyce, they’ll be a main figure inThe Records, a programme that tells of the ‘ups and downs of a music industry talent agency’.
“The calibre of the players - heroes, y'know (sic) - it'd be mad not to do it. And the tracks are genuinely good. They sound Bowie-ish, but they're not a pastiche.”
One of the three tracks already written for the show - ‘She’s a Queen’ - can be heard below. And it does sound very Bowie-ish! Check it out and let us know what you think of the news in the comment section below.
