Joey Jordison's Scar The Martyr To Support Alice In Chains On UK Tour

Tuesday, 17 September 2013 Written by Jon Stickler

Scar The Martyr, the new project unveiled by Slipknot drum legend and songwriting mainstay Joey Jordison, have been added to the Alice In Chains UK tour in November.

Speaking about the new shows, Joey said: "We are extremely excited to be a part of the upcoming Alice In Chains tour!  This will be our first opportunity to bring our brand of musical psychosis live to the UK. With Ghost on the bill as well, it's quite a package to behold. The only thing to make this more lethal is the attendance of the UK fans themselves. The UK fans always deliver, and we intend to do the same. See you soon!"

Produced by Rhys Fulber, Scar The Martyr's self-titled debut album is set to hit stores on September 30.  You can check out preview clips of six album tracks here

Joey enlisted guitarist friends, Jed Simon (ex-Strapping Young Lad) and Kris Norris (Darkest Hour) to play leads, and the project also features vocalist Henry Derek and keyboard scientist Chris Vrenna (Nine Inch Nails).  “I wrote the core of the music myself, but Henry did all the vocals and wrote all the lyrics, and Chris Vrenna from NIN did all the keys,” he said.
