Live Nation And AEG Battle For Miley Cyrus World Tour

Monday, 28 October 2013 Written by Jon Stickler

Two of the world's biggest event promoters, Live Nation and AEG, are going head-to-head in a battle to bring Miley Cyrus to the world's stages.

The rival promoters are currently locked in a bidding war for the rights to take Cyrus on tour across the globe in 2014. The good girl gone bad recently confirmed she will tour the world next year, announcing the news during a brief return to Saturday Night Live.

Live Nation were victorious in round one of the war after the company inked a deal to pay the 20-year-old upwards of $500,000 a night, according to sources, a cost that was just too much for AEG Worldwide. Sources claim that AEG couldn’t make the US leg of the tour profitable with such high fees.

Now it's time for round two, the European tour. The promoter rivals are now working hard to win Cyrus over for her visit from across the Atlantic. She released her fourth studio album, 'Bangerz', on October 7. Check back to Stereoboard for further details on Miley Cyrus' world tour as and when they are announced.
