The Killers are one of the world’s most popular bands and recently piled the praise on their British admirers during a one-off 'Direct Hits' show in London.
Frontman Brandon Flowers was in a sentimental mood at the Eventim Apollo on Wednesday night - cutting short a performance of The Way It Was to give all their fans the recognition he said they deserve.
He told the crowd:
“There's something in the air tonight. We've been coming here for 10 years, and you were the first ones to make us feel worth it. Damn! You gave us the confidence that we could do anything.”
Ripping through 16 tracks, including new tunes like Shot at the Night and set-closer Mr Brightside, their debut single which hit shelves 10 years ago, they played a gig fans will remember for a long time coming. You can check out a fan video of the band playing Read My Mind below. Look out for 'Direct Hits' on November 11.
