Krist Novoselic, the former Nirvana bassist, has been pictured in the studio with Super-Earth, a new band formed by R.E.M. guitarist Peter Buck and Sleater-Kinney's Corin Tucker.
The group - which also features Scott McCaughey of Minus 5, Swans and Ministry drummer Bill Rieflin and guitarist Kurt Bloch - made their live debut in Portland last week and have now been photographed in the studio by documentary filmmaker Lance Bangs.

Prior to their bow at the city's Secret Society Ballroom, as support for two Buck solo shows, the Portland Mercury quoted McCaughey as saying that they would be performing "an entire set of soon-to-be-album-sized new compositions by said Buck/Tucker combine."
