Michael Jackson Hologram Performs At Billboard Music Awards

Monday, 19 May 2014 Written by Huw Baines

The late Michael Jackson appeared in hologram form at the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday.

After several legal hurdles were cleared, the projection was used during a performance of Slave To The Rhythm, a song lifted from the recent 'Xscape' collection.

L.A. Reid, CEO of Epic and the man behind the posthumous record, told the Associated Press:

"We tried to do as best we could what we thought Michael would have loved, and those of us who knew Michael really well, we had a good perspective on it."

Justin Timberlake led the way with seven wins at the ceremony, while there were also multiple gongs for Imagine Dragons and Blurred Lines, a hit for Robin Thicke, T.I. and Pharrell Williams.
