Ride Reform For UK Shows And Field Day Slot

Wednesday, 19 November 2014 Written by Huw Baines

Shoegaze legends Ride will reform next year for a world tour.

Having split following the release of 'Tarantula' in 1996, Mark Gardener, Andy Bell, Laurence Colbert and Steve Queralt will get back together for nine dates, including a slot at Field Day Festival in London.

In addition, they’ll play May shows at Glasgow Barrowland, Manchester’s Albert Hall and London’s Roundhouse, along with stops in Amsterdam, Paris, Toronto and New York. Tickets for their UK dates are on sale at 9am on November 21.

Rumours of the band’s reformation began circulating yesterday following the appearance of a billboard bearing their name in Barcelona. In time-honoured tradition, the ad signalled their booking, alongside the Strokes, for Primavera Sound.

Ride Upcoming Tour Dates are as follows:

Fri May 22 2015 - GLASGOW Barrowland
Sat May 23 2015 - MANCHESTER Albert Hall
Sun May 24 2015 - LONDON Roundhouse
