Wednesday, 24 February 2016 Written by Laura Johnson

Metallica have been named as ambassadors for this year's Record Store Day.

The iconic metal band will follow Jack White, Dave Grohl and Chuck D in taking the title. They will also reissue their first two albums, 'Kill 'Em All' and 'Ride The Lightning', the day prior to Record Store Day, on April 15. The box sets will contain previously unreleased music and photographs, as well as handwritten lyrics and videos.

Meanwhile, check out Metallica announcing the news themselves in the below video.
