Ray BLK has shared a video for her new single, Patience (Freestyle).
The track follows up Chill Out, which featured on the BBC Sound Of 2017 winner's 'Durt' mini-album. Discussing its video, the alt-R&B newcomer said:
"We wanted to do something natural, something everyday that people could relate to - a conversation in the hair salon. I wanted it to feel like I'm talking to whoever is watching so they really hear the message."
Director Hector Dockrill added:
"We wanted to create a piece that was entirely focused on RAY and the message she wanted to voice. The simplicity of the idea gave RAY the freedom to explore her performance in an environment where she feels comfortable - the hair salon was also a nice little nod to her debut music video '50/50'."
Ray BLK will perform at Annie Mac’s AMP Collected night at London’s Jazz Cafe on March 23. She will also support Emeli Sandé on her upcoming UK tour.
