Orlando Weeks Adds Extra Dates To Rescheduled Spring 2022 UK Tour, Posts New Song

Orlando Weeks has rescheduled his UK tour for a second time.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 restrictions, the former Maccabees frontman will now hit the road in spring 2022, with new dates confirmed at Birmingham's O2 Institute on March 15 and Brighton's Concorde on March 19.
Tickets for the these concerts go on sale at 10am on June 18. Original tickets for the rescheduled shows remain valid. He said:
"Hello all, I appreciate the dust is still settling on having to move the October run but March 2022's tour will be worth the wait. Some of these shows are rescheduled, so for those that had tickets already these will be valid."
The trek was originally planned for spring 2021 and then moved to autumn 2021, following the release of his 2020 debut solo LP, 'A Quickening'.
Weeks has also unveiled a new song, Big Skies, Silly Faces, the first taste of his as-yet unannounced second solo album. Lyrically influenced by the rewarding yet tiresome aspects of fatherhood, its part of a larger concept, partly inspired by the early Mike Leigh film Nuts In May.
"There’s something about that that's always stayed with me," Weeks said. "The very English absurdity of making the most of a situation. The desperation for any potential silver lining. Really though I think Big Skies Silly Faces is about how I can be my own worst enemy - "No stopping that sky high as its wide ... my mind against my better thinking. know the feeling but wonder why..."
The light and dreamy offering features additional vocals from Katy J Pearson and comes paired with a Rik Burnell-directed video.
