They Might Be Giants Confirm October Release For 'Book', Share New Track I Can't Remember The Dream

They Might Be Giants have shared details of their new LP.
'Book' will arrive on October 29 through Idlewild Recordings alongside an accompanying 144-page cloth-bound art book — aptly titled Book — comprising photographs and graphic designs.
As a preview, the Brooklyn alt-rockers have unveiled a quirky video for the catchy new rocker I Can't Remember The Dream, which delivers the group's familiar, clever lyrics over a Louie Louie-esque guitar riff. Commenting on the song's video by frequent collaborator Alex Italics, one half of the duo John Linnell said:
"We have worked on a half dozen video projects with Alex Italics directing, and his sensibility really compliments our music. Creating any video around a song about dreams is going to be a dangerous assignment, but Alex managed to transcend the cliches. It’s an enigmatic idea but presented in a simple way, and even though there are comedic elements in there, it is paced in such a deadpan manner that it doesn’t short-circuit the vibe of the song."
They Might Be Giants will embark on their rescheduled North American tour in 2022. Original tickets will be honoured, and the remaining tickets are on sale now.
