Midlake Return With Details Of New LP 'For The Sake Of Bethel Woods', Plot UK And Ireland Tour

Midlake have announced a new album and tour dates for spring 2022.
The American folk-rock band will play UK and Ireland shows during April, including stops in Brighton, London, Newcastle, Edinburgh, Manchester and Dublin. Tickets go on general sale at 10am on October 29.
The run will support their first album in eight years, 'For The Sake Of Bethel Woods', due out March 18. The group recently returned from hiatus with new single Meanwhile..., Eric Pulido, who replaced vocalist and guitarist Tim Smith in late 2012, commented:
"Meanwhile… is a song referencing the time in between what transpired leading up to our hiatus in '14, and what inspired us to reconvene in '20. The former being an unhealthy and unsustainable place that called for pause and the latter a serendipitous visit from Jesse's late father (Dave Chandler, depicted on the album cover) in a dream encouraging him to reunite with the band. Everyone had their respective experience during the uncertain time apart culminating in a confident and celebratory return to form."
