It finds the 28-year-old Wolverhampton producer-turned-singer collaborating with KSI, and marks the third preview of his as-yet-unannounced debut album, due out this summer. It'll appear on the record alongside the previously shared singles, All Night with Trippie Redd, and Who We Are. S-X said:
"The song is a reflection of being locked out of someone's presence or energy. Feeling like you don't know where you stand and going through ups and downs as a cycle."
KSI added: "Sam has always said he's wanted me on his album, but he's waited till it was the right song. That song is now here, Locked Out is one of my favourite songs to date. The whole process from recording the song to filming the music video was so much fun and I can't wait for my audience to hear it, especially since I haven't released music in a while."
The track's pulsating, feverish tempo is mirrored in its accompanying dynamic video, directed by Troy Roscoe. It'll premiere on YouTube at 4pm today (May 6).
S-X will embark on a rescheduled UK tour in the summer, kicking off on June 1 in Nottingham, and concluding on June 11 in Dublin. KSI, meanwhile, has UK shows planned for later in May.
