Pantera To Reunite For North American And European Shows This Summer

Friday, 15 July 2022 Written by Laura Johnson

Pantera are expected to reunite for their first tour in over 20 years this summer.

According to Billboard, Phil Anselmo (pictured) and Rex Brown will be joined by legendary guitarist Zakk Wylde (Ozzy Osbourne, Black Label Society) and Anthrax drummer Charlie Benante for shows across North America and Europe, mixing festival sets with headline gigs.

Anselmo and Brown are said to have signed with Artist Group International, who'll book their North American dates, with Dennis Arfa and Peter Pappalardo as the agents.

There's not yet been any official announcement via the website or social media accounts for Pantera, who broke up back in 2003. Anselmo and Brown are the only surviving members of the band's best known line-up, which was completed by brothers Dimebag Darrell and Vinnie Paul. The former was shot on stage in Ohio in 2004 during a Damageplan concert, while Vinnie Paul passed away of heart failure in 2018.
