UB40 Reveal Video For 2022 Commonwealth Games Anthem Champion

UB40 have shared a video for their new song Champion, the theme for the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
Featuring local rappers Dapz On The Map and Gilly G, the inspiring clip shows footage of previous Commonwealth Games cut with athletes training for this summer's international competition.
Directed by filmmaker Daniel Alexander, it reflects the uplifting nature of the song, which also serves as the first taste of the British reggae band's forthcoming album, 'UB45', which is expected in 2023, though an exact release date is still to be confirmed. Robin Campbell said:
"We are proud to be representing the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games with the official anthem Champion. Birmingham represents the best of global Britain and it’s our pleasure to showcase this to the world. Birmingham is a city of champions!"
Matt Doyle added: "Champion is all about positivity. It's about being uplifted and putting that energy into whatever gets you up in the morning -- whether it be music, art or sport or whatever it is. It’s about doing what you do best and excelling at that, celebrating being a champion."
UB40 will take their Bigga Baggariddim Tour to the US in August. Following that, they'll return for the UB45 Tour of the UK and Ireland in December. Tickets are on sale.
