The Clone Roses Announce 25th Anniversary Shows In Glasgow And Manchester's Heaton Park

The Clone Roses have announced a huge outdoor show in Manchester.
The Stone Roses tribute band will mark their 25th anniversary by headlining Heaton Park on May 13. They've billed the event as Heaton Park - The Resurrection, following on from their record-breaking event Spike Island - The Resurrection, “the biggest tribute-themed festival the world has ever seen.”
The Clone Roses will follow live sets from Oas-is, The Smiths Ltd, The Courtbetweeners, Happy Mondaze, and The James Experience. There will also be DJ sets from Happy Mondays' Bez, Clint Boon of Inspiral Carpets, MC Tunes, Mr Wilson's Second Liners, DJ Pete Walshe (ex-Pacha) and DJ Dave Sweetmore.
The Clone Roses vocalist Gav Scott said:
“We’d love to celebrate our 25th Anniversary in the City that have been so loyal to us from day one. I think people have accepted that we really put the effort into recreating a Roses show and they are really supportive of what we do. In terms of the day itself, there’s going to be an absolute feast of Manchester music!”
Prior to Manchester, they've lined up a 25th anniversary concert at Glasgow Barrowland on April 22, with support from Oas-is, The Smiths Ltd, The James Experience and The Gerry Cinnamon Experience. The milestone celebrations will also include gigs across the UK earlier in the spring. Head below for their upcoming dates and ticket details.
Tickets for the new Glasgow and Manchester dates go on general sale at 10am on November 5. Tickets for their Sheffield show on March 18 go on sale at 3pm tomorrow (November 4).
