Starsailor To Celebrate 'Silence Is Easy' 20th Anniversary With Autumn UK Tour

Tuesday, 28 March 2023 Written by Jon Stickler

Starsailor have announced a UK tour for the autumn.

The band will celebrate the 20th anniversary of their second album, 'Silence Is Easy', with shows in Norwich, Nottingham, Glasgow, Newcastle, Wolverhampton, Sheffield, Manchester, London and Southampton between November 24 and December 3.

Each night will see the band perform the 2003 record in its entirety. Tickets go on general sale at 10am on March 31. Frontman James Walsh commented:

"We’re really excited to celebrate our second album 'Silence Is Easy' with you all in venues across the UK and Europe. It’s going to be great to bring album tracks such as Telling Them and White Dove out of the woodwork to go alongside crowd favourites Four To The Floor and Silence Is Easy as we perform the album in full. It's never easy to follow up a successful debut so we’re extremely grateful that you’ve taken this album to your hearts and it’s stood the test of time."

Alongside the gigs, the quartet will release a 20th anniversary edition of the album, featuring exclusives from the band's archives plus session tracks. Their last full-length came in the form of 'All This Life', released in 2017.

In related news, singer James Walsh will embark on a solo UK tour in June. Tickets are already on sale.
