Sweden have won the Eurovision Song Contest 2023.

Loreen took home the title with her song Tattoo, which received an impressive 583 points. Finland were runners-up with 526 points. Loreen is only the second person to have won the competition twice, having also been successful in 2012. UK placed 25th with 24 points.

The 67th edition of the contest took place tonight (May 13) at Liverpool Arena, following the semi-finals on May 9 and 11. As well as performances from this year's competitors, there were also performances by previous entrants, including Sam RyderDaði Freyr, Sonia and Duncan Laurence, with the latter delivering a rousing rendition of You'll Never Walk Alone.

The UK was chosen to host Eurovision after organisers decided it was unsafe to hold it in the reigning champions' country of Ukraine, due to the ongoing conflict with Russia.

Ukrainian entrants Kalush Orchestra won last year, and UK representative Sam Ryder came in second, and has since gone on to release his debut album.
