Sam Smith Cancels Rescheduled Glasgow And Birmingham Shows Of GLORIA The Tour

Sam Smith has cancelled the remaining UK stops on GLORIA The Tour.
The British vocalist was due to play at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow tonight (May 25) and Birmingham's Resorts World Arena on May 27, but the concerts have been cancelled due to them suffering from a vocal cord injury, which caused them to end last night's show at Manchester's AO Arena after only four songs.
A statement posted by the OVO Hydro read:
Due to vocal issues during last night’s Manchester performance, regrettably we will be cancelling the rescheduled Birmingham and Glasgow Sam Smith shows.
Refunds will be available at point of purchase for all three dates; Manchester, Birmingham, and Glasgow. A spokesperson said: “Doctors have advised due to a vocal cord injury, Sam must have complete vocal rest."
Sam is heartbroken to have had to cancel these shows but they have been told by doctors that if they keep singing, they will do permanent damage to their voice. If they take some rest, they will be able to perform again.
GLORIA The Tour, which is named after their new album that came out in January, is currently still set to head across North America this summer, and Australia and New Zealand in the autumn. Head below for dates and tickets.
